01 · Our mission

Talented players are developing in Slovak clubs. Together, we can give them more ice, more games and more of the world.

SWHA is being created as a joint platform for amateur girls' and women's ice hockey clubs. Its purpose is to combine capacity, experience and resources.

We do not want to replace clubs or the federation. We want to create space for cooperation and joint select teams for international tournaments.

02 · Who SWHA is for

Everyone has a place
in the shared project.

SWHA gives clubs, players and partners a space to cooperate without losing their own identity.

04 · What we stand for

Cooperation needs
clear rules.

01

Equal clubs

Every participating club has equal standing, an equal voice and the opportunity to co-decide.

02

Transparent rules

Player selection, budgets, costs and the use of any surplus will be clear in advance.

03

Respect for clubs

Players remain members of their home clubs. The project is not a transfer platform.

04

Shared growth

We combine experience, contacts and opportunities that an individual club may not have.

05 · Frequently asked questions

Clear answers.
Fair cooperation.

The participating clubs will jointly approve the detailed rules before the first selection and tournament.

01Does a player need to transfer from her club?

No. She remains a member of her home club. SWHA is an additional joint tournament select, not a transfer platform.

02How will players be selected?

Using jointly agreed and published criteria. Sporting level, attitude, availability and team needs will be considered. Participating clubs will approve the detailed selection process.

03Who pays the tournament costs?

A transparent budget will be prepared for every event. The division of costs between clubs, players and partners will be known before participation is confirmed.

04How will revenue or any surplus be used?

Approved event costs will be covered first. Any use or distribution of a surplus will follow a transparent rule agreed in advance.

05Who decides on selections and project operations?

Participating clubs will help create the rules. An appointed sporting group will nominate players using the common criteria, while organisational decisions will follow the agreed process.

06Is SWHA Slovakia's national team?

No. SWHA is an independent initiative and a joint club select. It is not an official national team of the Slovak Republic or the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation.

06 · How we begin

From the first meeting
to the first tournament.

We begin simply: with one conversation around a table and a pilot project.

  1. 01

    Connect the clubs

We will form a working group of 4–6 Slovak clubs.

  2. 02

    Agree the rules

Together, we will define the sporting, organisational and financial principles.

  3. 03

    Select the players

Nominations will be open, professional and based on equal criteria.

  4. 04

    Compete in Europe

The joint selects will take part in suitable international events.

07 · SWHA founding meeting

Let's begin with a conversation
around one table.

An informal meeting over coffee for club representatives, where we will establish the basic principles of cooperation and agree on the first concrete steps.
